Browsing and contacting us

The website displays computers and electronics and links to our eBay listings. Hosting providers may process request information such as IP address, browser information, and server logs to deliver and protect the website. Product images loaded from eBay send a request to eBay’s image servers.

If you email or call us, the information you provide is used to respond to your inquiry and discuss your purchase or consultation. The website does not offer customer registration. It offers Stripe checkout for approved quotes and enabled website product configurations, and a separate sandbox for test quotes.

Visitor statistics

We record anonymous browsing sessions, page views, product views and clicks to eBay to understand store activity. The application stores only a random event identifier, event type, product listing ID when relevant, and event date and time, for up to 90 days. It does not store IP addresses, referrers, full URLs, customer details or a persistent visitor identifier for these statistics. Session storage in your browser marks visits in one tab after 30 minutes of inactivity; no analytics cookies are used. Browsers with Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control enabled are excluded. Statistics are available only to the store owner using the private setup code.

eBay store connection

The owner setup form collects the application’s Client ID, Client Secret, and redirect name. When the store owner authorizes the application on eBay, eBay provides access and refresh tokens. These credentials and tokens are encrypted in server storage and used to maintain the store connection. The application does not receive your eBay password.

The current connection requests access to public eBay data and read access to inventory. The application reads the authorized seller’s active listings, prices, quantities, and product images to maintain this website’s catalog. It stores the seller’s account identifiers in encrypted storage to match account-deletion requests. For owner-enabled shared-stock configurations, the website also updates eBay quantities to hold a configuration during website checkout and restore remaining stock after Stripe confirms payment or expiry. Stock identifiers, reservation baselines and recovery states are stored privately. When the owner enables automatic Buy Now activation, catalog refreshes also verify eligible configurations and save website checkout offers using the owner’s confirmed tax, shipping and return terms. Automatic activation settings, including the tax verification sample address, are encrypted in private storage. The scheduled catalog refresh remains read-only toward eBay. It does not import eBay buyer or order records. Account-deletion notifications are verified using eBay’s public keys; matching account data, credentials, and catalog records are removed. Notifications received before the seller can be identified remain private until processed.

Stripe checkout and invoices

The owner can create an exact quote and share its private link. Quote descriptions, totals and Stripe payment records are encrypted in server storage. Anyone with the quote link can view and pay that quote; avoid adding unnecessary personal information to quote descriptions. Card details are entered on Stripe’s hosted page and do not reach this website. Signed Stripe notifications confirm payment status. Stripe also handles invoices created in its Dashboard. Contact us to request deletion of website quote or payment information.

For direct website purchases, we store the selected product configuration, price, shipping and return terms, acceptance time, stock reservation and payment status. Anyone holding an order-status link can view its limited order details. Stripe collects shipping addresses and payment details; customer contact and delivery information remain in Stripe for the store owner to fulfill the purchase. Sample addresses used by the owner to verify tax are sent to Stripe and are not saved in website product records.

Storage and service providers

The site uses Sites hosting and its Cloudflare-backed storage to run the website and store connection information. Tokens and secrets are not included in the public website or returned by connection status requests. Authorizing the application does not make your credentials available to website visitors.

You can decline eBay authorization or revoke the application’s access in eBay. For questions about stored information, correction, or deletion requests, contact office@techpointny.com. This notice will be updated as additional website features and data handling are introduced.
